Bread & stew at Mike’s

Let’s make some good ol’ Lentil Stew with Spinach and Potatoes and some fresh bread. (As some of you may have heard, I’m trying to get rid of my flour.)
It’s 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 400 W. McLoughlin Blvd., #6, and all are welcome.
* 4 tablespoons olive oil – Mike
* 4 large garlic cloves, chopped – Mike
* 6 cups canned vegetable broth – Mike
* 2 cup lentils, rinsed, picked over – Mike
* 12 ounces torn fresh spinach leaves (about 16 cups) – Mike
* 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper – Mike
* bread – Mike
* 14 ounces red-skinned potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
* 2 lemons
* 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint
* Crumbled feta cheese (optional)
* beverages

I’ll get potatoes, lemons and feta cheese. I’ll look for soy feta, if it’s available.

OK, that leaves mint and beverages for me. I’ll grab some mint from our front yard, bring a bottle of wine, and some juice.

Is this happening tomorrow (Sunday June 28)? I don’t think I could host, but I can probably come. Also, how come I can’t post a new topic?

Brian – I can’t answer your second question, but to the first: we had to cancel last week because the I-5 bridge was shut down, so Mike is hosting tomorrow. I’m not sure if we’re going to try for the same recipe again, or go with something different and new.

Hey Brian,
Mike told me last week that we’re going to do the same recipe at his place this weeekend. I’m bringing mint, juice, and wine.
I think the reason you could only post comments is that, when someone creates a new account, that person is a “subscriber,” which can post comments but not new entries. I upgraded your account to “administrator,” so you should be all set. Let me know if you run into any more problems.
