My turn to host
by CourtneySherwood on Apr.10, 2010, under Uncategorized
I believe it’s my turn to host this week, so be at my place at noon Sunday, April 11. I’m at 1201 N.E. 21st Ave.
I’d like to try lunch instead of brunch: falafel sandwiches. I’ve got pita bread, falafel mix, lettuce and will get hummus, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and sprouts. I’ve also got oranges and bananas to munch on as we assemble our food. And I may offer some plain sour yogurt, which I’ve sometimes had served with falafel at Lebanese restaurants.
If anybody would like to bring apple juice or other beverages, I think that would be a nice accompaniment to our meal. Pre-made tabouli could also be nice.
Please RSVP here or e-mail me, so that I’m sure to have enough food. I’ve been absentee for a few weeks, but I’m looking forward to seeing folks again.

Sweet! I love falafel! Brian and I will be there.
Have you made tzsiki before? It’s made with plain yogurt, a little lemon, dill and a dash of honey–it’s another nice compliment to falafel. I’ll bring a little so we can have both, as I have extra yogurt!
Cheers,
Lena

Okay, so our train leaves at 2:50 or so and I was on the fence about attending, but the station’s right across the river and I love almost nothing more than falafel. (Though I think Dan, at least, may remember Mike’s Great Falafel Debacle of 2008.) So I will be there, and likely Becca, too.

I will be there, but I can’t stay long as I have a lot of work, and I need to get ready for my trip to San Francisco next weekend.
I’ll plan to bring some sort of beverage. Cheers!
